Orthodontic Treatment
(Straightening)
Orthodontic treatment (straightening) is most often used to improve the appearance and alignment of crooked or crowded teeth, and to correct problems with the bite of the teeth.
The benefits of orthodontics can include:
Correction of dental crowding and straightening of your teeth
Correction of your bite so the front and back teeth meet evenly
Many people have crowded or crooked teeth, or their teeth do not meet correctly when they bite. These problems can mean it’s harder to keep your teeth and gums clean and your teeth are more likely to become damaged.
Braces are suitable for all ages and there are a range of options to choose from to help our patients achieve the smile they want.
Types of Braces
Clear, Removable Aligners
Clear aligners are thin, transparent trays that are custom-made to your smile. They’re virtually unnoticeable to others and can be removed for eating and brushing.
Options include Invisalign and Spark aligners.

Fixed Braces
Fixed braces are made up of brackets which are attached to your teeth, and wires that join them together. They can be metal or ceramic (more aesthetic).
They’re a popular choice due to their predictable results and are often recommended in more severe cases.
